Dr. Prasad's vision for surgical education.
From practice to platform
Dr. Srinivas Prasad graduated from Boston University's Six-Year Honors Medical Program in 1999. He completed his General Surgery Internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, along with a Master's degree in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on surgical robotics and navigation. Following neurosurgical residency at Washington University in St. Louis, he completed a Complex Spine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2009. Since then, he has served on the faculty at Thomas Jefferson University, where he is currently Professor of Neurological and Orthopedic Spine Surgery and Director of the Complex Spine Fellowship within the Department of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Prasad is a widely respected expert in spine surgery, with deep experience in both clinical practice and surgical education. His passion for teaching, combined with a focus on precision, innovation, and patient-centered care, led to the founding of Prasad Spine Academy—a comprehensive educational platform designed to train the next generation of spine surgeons.
